Equality

Everyone is equal before the law and has the right to equal protection and benefit of the law. Unfair discrimination on grounds such as race, language, gender, religion, disability, social origin, or belief is prohibited.

Human dignity

Every person has inherent dignity and the right to have that dignity respected and protected by public institutions and private actors.

Freedom of expression

Everyone has the right to receive and share information, debate public affairs, criticize government, and participate in civic discussion, subject only to lawful limits protecting safety, dignity, and the rights of others.

Freedom of religion

Everyone may hold, practice, and change religious, cultural, philosophical, or ethical beliefs without coercion.

Political and voting rights

Every eligible citizen has the right to vote, stand for office, join political organizations, campaign peacefully, and participate in public decision-making.

Fair trial

Accused persons have the right to due process, legal representation, presumption of innocence, and a fair hearing before an independent court.

Privacy

Everyone has the right to privacy in their home, communications, personal information, and family life, subject to lawful and proportionate limits.

Education

Every person has the right to basic education and equitable access to learning opportunities that advance dignity and participation.

Healthcare

The state must take reasonable measures to expand access to healthcare, emergency treatment, and public health systems.

Labour rights

Workers have the right to fair labour practices, safe workplaces, collective organization, and lawful dispute resolution.

Cultural rights

Communities may enjoy language, culture, heritage, and traditional practices consistent with equality, dignity, and the Constitution.

Environmental rights

Everyone has the right to an environment that is not harmful to health and to sustainable stewardship of land, water, and natural resources.

Children's rights

Children are entitled to protection, education, care, nutrition, shelter, and decisions guided by their best interests.

Rights of women

Women have equal legal status and protection from discrimination, violence, exclusion, and unequal access to opportunity.

Access to information

People have the right to information needed to protect rights, understand government decisions, and hold public institutions accountable.

Administrative justice

Public administration must be lawful, reasonable, procedurally fair, and open to review.
